I wrote to the corporate offices of Celebrex, and they refuse to reveal the location. This is driving me crazy! I want to go to this lake; it's so clear and beautiful. Hope someone cracks the mystery soon!

I received an email back from the marketing manager and he said it was located in Phucket, Thailand. Honestly can't tell is he's serious or joking around here. There is awesomely clear water of there to but I did not see any palm trees in segment...?
His exact brief response and his company title (CMO)is pasted here:

    Phuket, Thailand.

I think Elk Lake is the best guess. I noticed it looked like up north Michigan somewhere. And up by Elk Rapids there are big rolling hills, and they do look mountainous. More so over at Lake Bellaire, but Ive never been in that lake. If you are looking to vacation somewhere that stunning, go to Northern Michigan, rent a house/cabin near a lake. You can fly into Pellston or Traverse City. Late July/early August is when the lakes will be warmest.

Elk Lake in Michigan is very, very possible. Judging by the clarity of the water and being right next to Torch Lake, (most beautiful lake in USA, look it up), I'm going with Michigan.

It was not filmed on Elk Lake or on any lake in MI. Did you see the foothill ranges in the background in many of the shots??? No way that was any where near Michigan.

I live on Lake Lanier and I guarantee you our water was never that clear. The clear lake suggests a northern lake.

I don't care where it is... I just want to be there. Someone tell me for sure.. please. There is a lake in NC called White Lake that I remember as a kid.. could see all the way to the bottom. Was awesome but the surrounding cottages weren't on the scale as the homes in this commercial

I thought I recognized Mt Mansfield in VT as the mountain in the background. The water looked too clear for Lake Champlain though.

I think it's Lake Tahoe which has shoreline in both California and Nevada. The water color and clarity look about the same.

It looks alot like the southern end of Newfound Lake, in Bristol, New Hampshire. Some people think this is the cleanest (clearest) lake in the world.

I'm with you guys, I love the lake.......wanted to pack up my dog and go there. Maybe corporate didn't respond because it's all digitally created from a lot of different places.....and they were swimming in a sand filled swimming pool. I hope not and that someone can find the answer.

LOL. Love some of the answers. It's actually Lake Cachuma, CA. The only state that is more scenic is Arkansas. The others.... All a distant third.

Northern Michigan is my guess as well. Lots of beautiful resort lakes and locations. The westies don't have the corner on the market on clear bodies of water with "foothills" in the background. I agree about Tahoe - they would have to have filmed quickly before their Cougar actress died of exposure.

It is clearly Lake Tahoe. She is swimming right in front of Emerald Bay. I was just there last month. Believe me,the water is that clear. I just watched this commercial and told my husband , "look, where do you think that is"? He said Tahoe of course. BTW there are healing crystals on the lake. One of the best places we have been on a long time. Totally going back next summer.

I've been to lakes all over the country and this one looks like Lake Winnepasauki or Squam Lake in New Hampshire. If you haven't been to the Lakes Region in New Hampshire, you haven't seen the clearest sandy bottom lakes in the country. There are also mountain ranges seen from these lakes that look close to those in the commercial.

All you people saying Michigan obviously haven't even seen the commercial. This lake has mountains in the background. Elk Lake isn't even close in that regard. Someone said Lake Winnipesaukee in N.H. earlier, and that looks more like the one in the commercial.

I have to say after watching the commercial numerous times that could be one of many lakes in northern Michigan. Oh and yes we do have hill in in Northern Michigan. I would go as far to say that it could even be a inlet off of Lake Michigan.

This cracks me up, I never would of guessed there would've been so many diverse answers.
I know for sure Donner lake is out of the running as is Thailand (no palm tree's insight). My original thought was Tahoe but there are no small houses on the lake like the one's shown. I swam in Tahoe every day in summer & never a blue lip unless I was wearing"mood" lipstick. I know for sure it has to be a lake NOT the ocean, someone mentioned Santa Barbara, I was born in Montecito but never was far from the ocean until moving to Tahoe. Would love to know what lake in S.B. Has water that crystal clear. There are so many different places everyone named I'm going to have to write them down in a notebook & investigate each one individually. Thanks everyone

Can not be Elk Lake Michigan, there are no sandy beaches with an extended wooden pier like the one on the commercial. Google map verifies this by viewing the whole coast line of the lake. Must look else where, and yes, I too what to know the real location.

You must key on the white sandy beach, houses up to the sand, and the extended wooden pier with rock formations just up the shore line. Amu the true could be it was digitally created. Still looking......

everything is stitched together. look at the dock scene with the boat . the wind current is moving left opposite the boats anchored point moving right. And an old line hanging from the end of the dock is moving left.
lots of other obvious points . The beginning is shown against a protected sandy beach front with houses feet from the water. The other scenes are against a rocky shoreline.

If this was not digitally created it has to be either Elk Lake or Torch Lake in N.W. MI. I have been to all the other lakes mentioned and either of those two are the most likely.....and, yes, there are some very high bluffs and hills around those areas and the water is as clear as the film shows with white sandy beach and lake bottom. Unbelievably blue and beautiful, but don't tell anyone, ok?
