How Can I Delete Groovorio.com from Chrome?

Asked by Uptontony on 12/04/2014 at 8:08 AM

I have no idea how this site comes into my browser. I have MSE running all the times. I have never been to strange websites or download nasty stuff from the web. Anyway, it just sneaks inside. I reset the browser settings but it comes back again. Need some advices.

3.Download removal tool and run it from cmdline in Windows Safe Mode.

Do scan your machine for several times.

Usually antivirus programs are not able to remove a website I think. So you are advised to try some special software that are specifically designed for virus removing or browser issues. But first of all, you should try to disable or remove it by following some guides because it is clean, which leaves nothing on the system.

Let's try the automated way of dealing with this first.. if that doesn't work we will remove some deep registry keys.

Try completely uninstalling all parts of Chrome and then reinstall...

Before proceeding.. make a backup of your Registry..
Press the Windows key + R, type regedit.exe and press Enter
Click on "My Computer" then click "File" and then "Export". Then "File" then "Exit".

Use Task Manager to "Kill" all instances of Chrome.exe...

Note: Make sure you have another browser on your computer (i.e. FireFox) that works.
Try completely removing all parts of Chrome with Spyhunter 4 (run it in Windows Safe Mode and do the scan several times to make sure) ... then reinstall Chrome Stable.
